We love worshiping together!
Unified Services
Each Sunday at 8:00am and 10:30am followers of Jesus gather in our sanctuary for a worship service. Both services are exactly the same, so that we worship together as a unified body, even if at different times.
Most services start with a time of communal singing. We also give announcements, inviting those worshiping with us to join in the life of the church outside of Sunday services.
Each service features a sermon, about 25 minutes long. One of our ministers will preach from the Bible that we might know how to best love God, love people, and reach the world!
In response to the sermon, those who believe in Jesus and have confessed him as their Lord and Savior are invited to partake in Communion while the band plays a song. During this time is also when people give their tithes and offerings in plates on the table with the Communion elements.
We end our time together with a final, partial song.
FAQ's
Where are services located?
Our Unified Services take place in our Sanctuary. You may enter through the main entrance on Washington Street or through the office door off our parking lot (south of the building).
What should I wear?
Wear whatever you're comfortable in! Our staff typically wears business casual attire, but the congregation covers a wide array of styles and comfort levels. We do ask that you keep it family friendly, as we often have kids around.
What about my kids?
While we offer nursery (birth-3 years) and kid's church (PreK-5th grade) during the 10:30 service, we know sometimes families like to stick together. You kids are more than welcome to join us in the service! We will not be put off by their noises. We also offer a cry/nursing mothers' room in the back of the Sanctuary with a speaker to still hear the sermon. There are also sermon worksheets, coloring pages, and crayons available for kids at the sound booth.
When do I sit or stand?
Worship is displayed in the postures of our hearts and our bodies alike. There are times where you'll be invited to stand as we sing, pray, or hear Scripture read. But that's all those are: invitations! If you are not able or comfortable to stand the whole time, feel free to sit as you need. Or if sitting is uncomfortable, stand up! We do ask that if you are going to stand during a time when the majority are seated (like during the sermon) that you do so off to the side or in the back, so that those around you can see. If you're not sure what to do, follow the invitations from the stage. During Communion you'll be release by rows to receive the elements at a table from the front. If you are unable to make the trip to the table, remain seated and the usher will bring you the elements.
What if I need help hearing?
Our tech team offers Assisted Listening Devices. These amplify the speaking portions (announcements, sermon, communion meditation, etc.) for individuals through a radio transmitter-receiver set and personal headphones. Stop by the sound booth to borrow one.
